And Im off...

Leaving tomorrow for Taiwan, hopefully the flight and everything else goes well...Not too sure what to expect, so I guess the proper mindset would be to expect the unexpected. I leave on Monday, but I won't arrive until 6am Taiwan time on Wednesday, should make for a long commute. Nonetheless I'm excited and am looking forward to the experience. My email is coleaquino@gmail.com, feel free to contact, generally pretty reliable via email.

Frank - It sounded familiar but am sad to say I had to look it up. If you type it in web address line it brings up your blog - very cool. Mike - you beat me to it..

Google - Carpe diem is a Latin phrase literally meaning "pluck the day" but usually translated as "seize the day". It is often adopted (or at least quoted) as a personal motto. The term is also used in several navies as an expression of goodwill.

One interpretation of the phrase might be as an existential cautionary term, much like "eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die" (or Memento mori).

Frank, Welcome to the world of bloggers, glad to have you aboard! We can't wait to hear about all your adventures. You made quite an impression on your little cousin Sophie. A few days after you visited, I told her my parents were coming over for dinner. Her reply:"And Frank too?"
Safe trip, love, AD
